ESKOM and government have indicated that South Africans could possibly avoid load shedding by saving energy – at least 10 percent per household. I’m Alan Khan, CEO of Jacaranda 94.2… and I believe we have the power… the power to make a difference. I’m proud to say that as a business, we’ve replaced some of our downlighters with energy saving ones. We’re adding timers to our aircons… some might say it’s a small start. But you start somewhere.

The Jacaranda 94.2 listeners represent some 6.5 % of the total population. These listeners include households, businesses and our friends in the entertainment industry, celebrities if you will. And that’s my challenge to all our clients, advertisers and suppliers… my challenge to our households… I believe we have the power to make a difference.
