This is a boy band all grown up. In fact, some other boy bands should
take a 10 year break before releasing their next album.

| Review |
| They’re back. Time will tell
whether it’s for good. They’re still without Robbie Rudebox
of course, but it doesn’t seem to bother them as Take That’s
latest offering has already spawned the number 1 UK single “Patience.”
Quite fitting really as the patience of the band’s fans all
over the world, predominantly in the UK, paid off with a fresher,
more mature-sounding Take That.
Once described as the most successful British band since The Beatles
in the UK, beloved of young and old alike, music industry leaders
have praised the single, agreeing with fans, saying it was "worth
the wait". “Patience” has got to be the perfect “Let’s
just take it slow till I sort out my life”-song. It will also
go down in history as one of the biggest comeback songs of all time.
Beautiful World is the first Take That album where all four members
share songwriting credits on the album, in conjunction with songwriter/producer
John Shanks. This is not the Take That formed in back in 1990. This
is not the Take That who split up in 1996. This is a boy band all
grown up. In fact, some other boy bands should take a 10 year break
before releasing their next album. Maybe their fans have grown up
with them. Maybe new fans will discover a fresh, intelligent pop offering.
Other likeable songs include “Reach Out", the brimming
"Like I Never Loved You At All", the folksy "Wooden
Boat" and the upbeat, Beatles-esque "Shine", rumoured
to be the next single.
While Robbie has received a lot of criticism for his last release,
Take That is welcomed back with open arms. Proof again that people’s
musical tastes change from one day to the next.
