Jacaranda's annual Good Morning Angels Golf day will be taking place on Wednesday the 16th of September at Garderner Ross Golf and Country Estate. The target this year is to raise R600 000 for the Good Morning Angels Fund.

Where: Gardener Ross Golf and Country Estate
Tee off on the day is a shotgun start at 11h30 and the format is a Fourball Alliance, 2 to count, best and worst (in other words the best points score on each hole and the worst points score on each hole). This has been agreed upon to allow all handicaps to contribute, reward high handicappers who play well to contribute, and to make the “playing fields even”, so to speak, between the sports stars and the rest.
This years celebrity competition for the Good Morning Angels Floating Trophy will become a 3 way contest between Team Kurt Darren (Singers and Corporate), Team Darren Scott (Entertainment) and Team Naas Botha (Sports Stars), who will play a separate competition based on individual stableford points. The Celebrity competition will be scored on the cart GPS scoring system, and the Fourball Alliance will be scored on the cards.
Maximum Handicaps will be 18 for men and 24 for ladies.
A pre Good Morning Angels Golf Day Skills Challenge will precede the Day from 09h00 on the driving range and will be co-ordinated and run by Dave Usendorff and Kevin Stone - director of Golf at Gardener Ross. Prizes will be acquired for this new addition to the day, and golfers can enter this at an additional R 200 per person.
Costs for this year are as follows:
* 4 Balls – R 3 600
* Individuals – R 1 000 each
* Tee Box Sponsor – R 6 000
* Green Sponsor – R 2 000
* Full House – R 10 000 (incl Tee, Green and 4ball)
