NEW GOO GOO DOLLS ALBUM

The Goo Goo Dolls release new album 'Something For The Rest Of Us' on August 30. A single, 'Home', precedes it on August 23. The album was produced by Tim Palmer, with extra input from Butch Vig and John Fields.

OZZY RELEASES LIVE iTUNES EP

Ozzy has released a six-song EP recorded live at the Roundhouse in London on July 3, when he played the iTunes Festival. But this is only available through the Apple iTunes Store.

NEW DRUMMER FOR SOCIAL DISTORTION

Social Distortion have brought in drummer Dave Hidalgo (Suicidal Tendencies/Spinerette). He takes over from Scott Reeder, who's been helping the band out since the departure of Atom Willard.

DEEP PURPLE GUITARIST UNVEILS NEW PROJECT

Deep Purple guitarist Steve Morse has launched a new project called Angelfire. Their self-titled, debut album comes out next month.

INSTANT LIVE CDS AT HIGH VOLTAGE

You'll be able to get instant live CDs at the High Voltage Festival, featuring the performances of seven of the bands on the bill. These will be available straight after the bands finish their sets. Those being recorded are: Emerson Lake & Palmer Marillion Uriah Heep Asia Argent Focus Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash CDs will retail between £10 and £20, dependant on set length, and are available to pre-order for collection or home delivery at www.concertlive.co.uk, as well as from the Concert Live staff at the festival itself. High Voltage happens on July 24/25 at Victoria Park in London.

TOP GUITARISTS GUEST ON DWEEZIL ZAPPA ALBUM

Dweezil Zappa is releasing a new album shortly. Called 'What The Hell Was I Thinking', he's got some heavyweight guest guitarists involved. These are Angus and Malcolm Young, Eddie Van Halen, Brian May and Warren De Martini.
