The Springboks will try and win in Brisbane for the first time in 39 years today. The world champions take on the Wallabies in their last tour match of this year's Tri Nations, on the back of two demoralising defeats against the All Blacks, and coach Peter de Villiers hogging the newspaper headlines Down Under.
The bookmakers have tipped the Aussies to win, but the Boks will know four or even five points today, with three home games to come, and the All Black defeats will be almost forgotton. Kick-off is at noon.
Meanwhile, injured Bok scrumhalf Fourie du Preez doesn't believe the result of this year's Tri-Nations will influence the Bok team's performance at the World Cup. du Preez, who is out with a shoulder injury, says the Boks just need to go back to the basics and execute their game plan better.
