Consumers have been urged to be extra cautious in the way in which they choose to share personal information.
This was the message from the South African Banking Risk Information Centre (Sabric) - which launched its Crime Awareness Campaign on Wednesday morning.
Sabric general manager Susan Potgieter says consumers should be aware of how they process their personal information, how that information is stored and be aware of what criminals can do with it.
