Good Morning Angels Extra (Dino)

Making Badrudino "Dino" Madonsela's matric farewell extra special

GMA-Blog_110.jpg

Background:

We met Dino Madonsela in December 2009 - yes, that's five years ago. He was in Grade 7 and on his way to high school. Dino's mom, is a domestic worker for Howard and Mandy Galloway. They helped Dino and his mom to pay for a good school. Dino had distinctions in all is subjects at the time, he was the schools boy head leader. Our Good Morning Angels Festive Edition sponsor, Instant Life, sponsored Dino's school fees of R24 000,00 for his Grade 8 year in St Thomas Aquinas Convent School. This year, Dino is in matric and finishing school!!!

We recently received this email from Mandy:

"Good Morning Angels assisted Dino 5 years ago, so I could put him in a good school! We have since moved to Pretoria from Witbank and he is matriculating at Curo Hazeldean :-) I would like to know if there is any chance that  Jacaranda Good Morning Angels can assist us with a Jacaranda vehicle or a limousine for his matric farewell on the 11th of October!

IT WILL MEAN THE WORLD TO HIM!!

Regards
Mandy Galloway "

As it happens, we received an offer from Anel Lubbe, the winner of "Apprentices of Angelic Gerber " - a kind of  competition/beauty pageant, wanting to help make a boy or girl's matric farewell extra special.

Original request from Dino from 2009:

Dear Angles,

My name is Dino Madonsela. I am 13-years old and going into Grade 8 next year. My mom is a domestic worker and works for Uncle Howard and Aunty Mandy. They have all helped to put me through school at Robert Caruthers School in Witbank. I was a leader (prefect) this year. I managed to pass all my subjects with seven distinctions! I was voted boy leader of the year in 2009 and was awarded for best behaved student in 2009. My mom and Aunty Mandy have applied at St Thomas Aquinas for Grade 8 as it is the best school for me to go to for a great education. I would like to be able to do the best I possibly can so one day I can really do my bit for my family and my country. I am a hard worker, so I know I will do well.

There is one problem, the convent will cost around R24,000 for my best education!

Please could you make my Christmas by helping me get into the Convent for 2010? I can then start to get a great education; I want to help support my mom when I leave school one day.

If you can help, please phone Aunty Mandy  – I am living with her at the moment.

Thank you very much,
Badrudino (Dino) Madonsela.
