Joburg man shot on his way to work

A man was shot dead on his way to work and his body left on the side of a road in Maraisburg, Johannesburg, on Tuesday, police said.

"It is alleged that the man was on his way to work when two suspects shot him once in the upper body," Captain Augustinah Selepe said.

He died on the scene. The killers fled in a blue BMW.

Nothing was taken from the victim and the motive for the murder was unknown. The man was shot on Millward Street, about 100 metres from his work.
