Updated | By Catrine Malan
"As a result of the protest action, all of Putco's feeder trips have been affected and the bus company is currently not able to render an effective and timeous operation in the region," spokesman Tshepo Tsotsotso said in a statement.
He said Putco management was uncertain about the length of the disruptions but would keep passengers updated.
"Management has also deployed supervisors to assist passengers to get onto the limited buses at peak times by ensuring smooth and safe processes," said Tsotsotso.
He said the service delivery protests were not linked to Putco but management would engage local government structures and law enforcement agencies in the area to ensure the safety the passengers.
