No loadshedding anticipated for Monday

The power system was stable on Monday morning and power utility Eskom said it did not anticipate loadshedding.

“However, the system remains vulnerable, meaning that any extra load or faults in the system may necessitate the need to implement loadshedding,” said Eskom.

“Eskom has met the country’s electricity demand while operating its generation fleet in a sustainable manner for over three weeks, resulting in no loadshedding for 22 consecutive days.”

The power utility appealed to customers to continue reducing their electricity usage and to be aware of the need to save more during the two peak periods, from 6am to 10am and from 5pm to 9pm
