SA’s best-loved daughter shares her secret brew

March saw one of South Africa’s best-loved daughters Yvonne Chaka Chaka turning 50, celebrating 30 years in the music industry and 10 years as a United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) ambassador.

 

Born into a humble Soweto family in 1965 as Yvonne Machaka, she broke onto the local music scene with the disco-inspired hit, I'm in Love with a DJ and went on to first Black child to appear on South African television in 1981.

 

The acclaimed singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, humanitarian and teacher has been an integral part of the country’s music industry for more than 25 years and with much to celebrate in 2015, she is joins The Complimentary Breakfast for a bit of brewing fun and they find out more about Joost Van Der Westhuizen’s induction into The South African Sport and Arts Hall of Fame (details below).

About Induction Dinner and Celebration Golf Day of Joost Van Der Westhuizen

 

The Induction Dinner and Celebration Golf Day of Joost Van Der Westhuizen will be held on 12 July 2015 at Sun City. The South African Sport and Arts Hall of Fame will use this day to celebrate his great achievements.

 

He will also officially be inducted into The South African Sport and Arts Hall of Fame. This prestige’s event will be broadcasted on Supersport and various high profile people will attend this celebration event.

 

This tournament includes a round of Golf and a Dinner Function. The dinner function will be the Official Induction of Mr Joost van der Westhuizen into The South African Sport and Arts Hall of Fame.
