A man was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Diepkloof, Soweto, Gauteng police said on Tuesday.
The 38-year-old businessman who sells delicacies such as sheep heads, was arrested at his house in the area on Monday, Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.
The girl went to the man's stall and tried to buy sheep head, known as "skop".
"He then [allegedly] grabbed her, put her in his car, and took her to his house where he raped her," said Makhubela.
The girl escaped and reported the rape to police on Sunday. The man will appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
