A Euro 2016 qualifying match between Serbia and Albania had to be abandoned yesterday due to chaos on the field, caused by a drone carrying a pro-Albanian flag.

The drama unfolded when Serbian defender, Stefan Mitrovic, pulled down the flag, which reportedly carried a political message, leading to fights on and off the pitch.

Fists and flying kicks were the order of the day with players and officials having a go at each other. At one point someone is seen throwing a chair.

Fans in the stands at the Partizan Stadium also got in on the action and attacked some of the players as they left the field.
Serbia and Albania are said to have long-standing political tensions.
