A woman was killed on Thursday when her car collided with a taxi in Midrand, north of Johannesburg, emergency services said.
The accident happened on Fouche Road just after 2pm, spokeswoman Nana Radebe said.
The woman, who was trapped inside the car, was declared dead on the scene.
Eleven of the occupants in the taxi were treated on the scene and five others, including the driver, were taken to a nearby hospital.
