A study conducted by the University of Colorado Boulder has found that taking time off from your busy schedule to nap can help boost your learning, memory awareness, and productivity. It also found that taking a nap is like a system reboot and can help prevent burnout.


Dr. Sara C. Mednick, author of 'Take a Nap, Change Your Life', writes that napping restores the sensitivity of sight, hearing, and taste.

Just taking 10-20 minute naps will boost your alertness and energy. And for those who struggle to remember facts or even faces, a 60-minute nap can be just what you need. Research suggests that this nap helps in improvement of remembering facts and faces.


A 90-minute nap, on the other hand, improves emotional memory and creativity. Other research revealed that a power nap of 45 minutes can boost memory by up to five times.


So go right ahead and take a nap without any feeling of guilt!
