"Compass is not just a safe haven and an Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre. We also extend our hands to the greater community through outreach programmes, feeding initiatives, clothing drives and trauma-response services. Our mission is rooted in love, resilience, and the unshakeable belief that every woman and child deserves safety, dignity, and a chance at a brighter future."

The women and children in their care are referred to them by social workers and the justice system. They rely 100% on donations to provide these life-saving and life-changing services.

Nothemba reached out to Good Morning Angels to help them continue supporting vulnerable families and children in their care.

ORIGINAL REQUEST

Good day,

I trust this email finds you well.

I am reaching out to you today on behalf of our Non-profit Organisation, COMPASS. We are a dedicated sanctuary that has been serving abused and abandoned women and children for over two decades. We have stood as a beacon of hope, offering not only a safe haven and an Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre, but also extending our hands to the greater community through outreach programmes, feeding initiatives, clothing drives and trauma-response services. Our mission is rooted in love, resilience, and the unshakeable belief that every woman and child deserves safety, dignity, and a chance at a brighter future.

At the moment, in our ECD centre, we care for approximately 42 precious children, as well as four courageous families in our safe home, Khaya le Themba. Each family has a story of hardship that has brought them to our doors. The need is real and urgent. We are in desperate need of support to maintain everyday essentials such as shelter, food, education, emotional support, and monthly expenses including rental, electricity, water and internet, to mention the major ones.

Without the generosity of individuals and businesses like yours, we simply cannot keep going. The truth is that we rely entirely, 100%, on donations to meet these needs and to continue our work in the community. Without your support, the lifeline we provide to these families could falter.

Any help you can offer makes a difference. We therefore do not limit clients. Whether it is a financial donation of any size or tangible goods such as food, clothing or furniture, your contribution directly impacts the lives of our beneficiaries. Imagine the warmth of a meal in a child’s stomach, the comfort of a new pair of shoes, or the security of a bed to call their own. These are the small miracles your generosity can create.

Your support is not just a donation. It is a powerful act of compassion that tells these women and children, “You are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.”

After your generous contribution, we will issue a Section 18A certificate and a thank you letter for your contribution. Visits are welcome by appointment.

Warm regards
Nothemba
