The St Dunstan's Easter Sports Festival from 2 to 6 April will see school teams from across South Africa play rugby, hockey, and netball.

A total of 1200 players will participate in the tournament in Benoni.

Every year, the school invites local development teams to play in the tournament.

The netball team from Unity Secondary School in Daveyton has been part of the festival since 2015.

They rely on sponsors to help cover kit and entry fees, totalling R13,100 for the 10 players and two coaches.

St Dunstan’s head of advancement, Mandy Lachenicht, has secured sponsors for the girls’ playing kit and shoes – but not their entry fees.

That’s why she reached out to Good Morning Angels.

RE: UNITY SECONDARY NETBALL TEAM - PARTICIPATION FEES FOR THE 2026 EASTER SPORTS FESTIVAL

I am currently looking for a sponsor to pay for the participation fees of the Unity Secondary School, based in Daveyton, Benoni.

I have already secured a sponsor for the girls’ kit and netball shoes. Each year, as part of the school's development programme, we include development teams in the rugby and netball events - Unity Secondary School is one of these schools.

Below are photographs of the Unity girls from our 2024 and 2025 events:

The cost per player for the 2026 event is R1200 and R550 per manager/coach.

10 players: R1200 and 2 managers/coaches: R1100 (TOTAL COST: R13100)

I really hope that a sponsor will share not only mine, but the school’s passion too, about making a difference.

Kind regards, Mandy Lachenicht

(Head of Advancement)
