Death is a natural part of life, and a reality we will all face - hopefully only when we are old and grey.

While religion gives people peace of mind about what happens after they die, many people are still afraid of the end.

An ICU nurse in America has revealed the final words patients tell her on their deathbed. "Every single person who passes away says the same thing," she says.

Kirstie Robb, who has worked in the ICU for four years, shares her experience in a TikTok video. The clip has since gone viral, with over 2,000 people commenting on her post.

"They say, 'Can you please tell my family I love them. I don't feel good. I know I'm gonna die," she said.

Robb questions how they know it is their time, but believes it is their spirit that is telling them this is their last opportunity.

"There's a shift that happens that is spiritual, that nobody can explain. Their vitals might be stable; their condition may be the exact same way it was when they came in. Yet in every single circumstance... they always die."

The nurse became emotional as she told the story, urging her followers to stop playing with their lives.

"Life is not meant to be an endless pursuit of things. Life is meant to be enjoyed, life is meant to be appreciated, life is meant to be explored. Why are you actually here?

"You guys take it from me, I'm telling you every single person is aware, and they know. Your spirit knows you are connected to something deeper than what we’re told.”

Things people say before they die

A fellow nurse approved of Robb's story. "As a former hospice nurse, she's right!"

Another person says their food science teacher, who was a former hospice care worker, shared similar stories.

"Her job was literally to just sit with patients and make them feel comfortable, read to them, talk to them, etc. So she watched dozens of people pass in front of her. Nearly all of them right before passing would start talking to people who weren’t visibly there that were usually family and saying things like, 'I’m so happy to see you',  'Where are we going?', 'It’s time to go?'

"She always told us that there’s so much more to this world than what we’re physically and scientifically aware of because of her experiences in that work."

Some of Robb's followers shared their own experiences of watching their family members die.

"My brother was on his deathbed, [and] he told us he could see angels coming to fetch him, but we could not see them because it was spiritual. He asked us to pray. After we said amen, he took his last breath."

"My brother died from cancer at the age of 21, on 9/13/2015. He knew he was going to die, he said to my mom, 'Jesus is coming to get me today', and he died that day! "

"The night before my mom passed, she said I’m home she was gone the next morning."

"I’ll never forget my grandfather had dementia. Every time I saw him, he never knew who I was. The last time I saw him, he knew me and said he loved me. Life is so precious, man, we take it for granted. We’re on borrowed time fr."
