Wits students march to Vice-Chancellor's house
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Students at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) on Monday marched to Vice-Chancellor, Adam Habib's home to hand over a memorandum.
This comes after a meeting at the Solomon Mahlangu House on campus to discuss the way forward in the 'Fees Must Fall' movement.
Students across the country have taken to the streets, vowing to close down all universities until free higher education becomes a reality.

Wits' spokesperson Shirona Patel said the University is happy to receive students' memorandum, but said they should adhere to the university's policies.
"The Vice-Chancellor is aware that students want to march to his house to hand over a memorandum. He is indicated that they could do so, but they should do so at the University campus and they should hand the memorandum over to the Dean of Students," she said.
