Zuma believes ANC challenges are becoming too much

President Jacob Zuma says it would be very difficult for the ANC to govern, if it continues to be in conflict with itself.

The President was speaking at a wreath-laying ceremony at the grave of struggle stalwart OR Tambo.

Zuma says the ANC must address its internal issues in a respectful manner, so it is able to overcome the challenges and come out on the other side stronger.

The President believes the ANC has reached the stage in the life of all liberation movements, where the challenges become too much.

"I believe our movement has reached that point. We have to show, as the ANC, what we are made of and navigate the challenges and emerge on the other side stronger as we are supposed to be, and solve all the problems. The kind of South Africa that is prosperous can only be achieved through collaborative efforts between all of us and by putting our country first and by knowing our destination," Zuma said.
