Maimane confident as results come in

The DA is showing a strong lead in the Western Cape, with the battle still on in the three hotly contested metros - Nelson Mandela Bay, Johannesburg and Tshwane.

Speaking to the media, Maimane said he is pleased with the performance by the DA in the Local Government Elections.

"We've shown some incredible growth in these elections and we are quite excited about that. We also see that in the metros we have targeted, metros that we wanted to grow in," he said.
