2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees announced

Mariah Carey is a third-time nominee, while Phil Collins, P!nk and Shakira earn their first nominations for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has revealed the nominees for the Class of 2026.
A total of 17 performers are under consideration, including The Black Crowes, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Oasis, Sade, Joy Division/New Order and Mariah Carey.
“This diverse list of talented Nominees recognizes the ever-evolving faces and sounds of Rock & Roll and its continued impact on youth culture”, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation chairman John Sykes said in a statement.
“Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music’s highest honor and we look forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 this Fall.”
According to the foundation, musicians are eligible for nomination 25 years after the release of their first commercial recording. This year's list features ten first-time nominees.

Carey has been nominated for a third time. The singer-songwriter, who released her debut single 'Vision of Love' in 1990, was also a nominee in 2024 and 2025.
P!nk is one of the first nominees reacting to the nominations.
"Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee. How is this possible?! Look what we did together y’all! She wrote on Instagram.
"I never ever fit neatly into a box. That was kind of the whole point. This nomination isn’t mine; it’s ours. It’s for everyone of us who ever felt like an outsider or underdog and found something in this music that made them feel less alone."
Etheridge says she is honoured and delighted to receive a nomination.
"I am really proud to be considered to be a part of that group of crazy rock and roll misfits. I'm extremely happy."
The performer inductees will be unveiled in April 2026.
"Nominee ballots will be distributed to an international voting panel composed of over 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals. The selection criteria include an artist’s impact on music culture, influence on other musicians that have followed, as well as the scope and longevity of their career and body of work," the foundation said.
Fans will also get to have their say by voting for who they think should make the final list of inductees. Fan votes are open until
Phil Collins is currently #1 on the Leaderboard with over 61, 000 votes, followed by Billy Idol, INXS, Iron Maiden, and Luther Vandross.
