'Bridgerton' season 4 cast share their top music picks
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Tyla, Olivia Dean, and Chappell Roan are among the artists the 'Bridgerton' cast would like to hear on the show.
Season 4 of 'Bridgerton' debuted this week, and it appears the ton has some interesting musical tastes.
The Netflix series is known for its instrumental covers of popular songs by artists such as Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish.
However, if the cast had their way, some of their favourite songs would also feature.
Spotify caught up with the cast to ask which song they would like to see covered on the show. Luke Thompson, who plays Benedict Bridgerton, says songs by Olivia Dean would be at the top of his list.
"Olivia Dean has some amazing songs that I think would feel very beautiful on a string quartet," he said.
Actress Yerin Ha, who plays Benedict's love interest, Sophie Baek, in season 4, also picked Dean. 'So Easy' is her top pick for a Regency-era makeover.
South African actress Masali Baduza, who returns as Michaela Sterling, would like to see some Amapiano tracks get airplay on the show.
"I would probably pick 'Shake-Ah' by Tyla or any other Amapiano song," she said. "I don't think that's ever been done before, and I think that would be so cool."
Hannah Dodd (Francesca Bridgerton) picked Chappell Roan's 'Good Luck, Babe!' while Emma Naomi (Alice Mondrich) thinks RAYE's 'Where is My Husband!' would be perfect.
Kendrick Lamar's 'All the Stars', Djo's 'End of Beginning' and 'Teenage Dirtbag' by Wheatus also made the cut.
The season 4 soundtrack includes Coldplay's 'Life in Technicolor', which is performed by Vitamin String Quartet.
Usher's 'DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love' featuring Pitbull, Taylor Swift's 'Enchanted' and Olivia Rodrigo's 'bad idea right?' also feature.
Part 1 of the new season was made available on Netflix on Thursday, January 29.
Benedict and Sophie's 'Cinderella'-like love story already has viewers in their feels.
"Sophie kissing Benedict and Benedict not wanting it to ever end…. I’ll never recover, so perfect!" one viewer wrote onX.
Part 2 of the series will premiere on February 26.
