Chappell Roan reflects on "really hard" year
Updated | By Music Reporter
Chappell Roan has thanked her fans for sticking by her thought the good and bad times.
'Good Luck, Babe!' hitmaker Chappell Roan kicked off her US pop-up shows in New York at the weekend with a special message for her loyal fans.
"It’s been quite a year. I can’t believe we’re here, honestly. It’s crazy. Thank you for sticking with me through it... It’s been really hard," she told concert goers, per Billboard.
"I’m so glad I can come to work like this. I just needed a place like this so bad when I was 13, 14. I just wanted to dress up however I wanted, and I wanted to wear makeup and look weird. So I hope you know that you’re welcome here, however you show up today. You are cherished.”
In July, Roan announced that she will host pop-up shows in New York, Kansas City and Los Angeles.
"I love these three cities so much + wanted the chance to do something special before going away to write the next album," said.

Roan revealed that she would be using a special ticketing process to keep tickets as affordable as possible, and "keep them away from scalpers".
Scalpers typically purchase tickets in bulk and then sell them back to fans for exorbitant prices, some as high as 400% more.
Stars such as Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and Beyoncé have experienced ticket glitches and resale controversies in the past.
"One way we’re making sure that happens is by partnering with @CashApp to offer 15% cash back on tickets purchased using the Cash App Visa debit card. We’re also using a ticketing process called Fair AXS to help get rid of bots and scalpers and make sure tickets end up in the hands of fans.
Roan has four shows in NYC. The first two, which took place on Saturday and Sunday, were a major success.
Fans packed Forest Hills Stadium and sang along to hits such as 'Hot to Go!' and 'Pink Pony Club'. During the 19-song set, she also performed 'The Subway'.
'The Subway' is currently the #26 song on the Top 40 with Danny Painter.

Roan surprised fans by bringing out rock star Nancy Wilson. They performed a cover of Heart's 'Barracuda'.
Heart is a rock and roll Hall of Fame band that includes Wilson's sister Ann.
Roan is a big Heart fan. The 27-year-old's 2024 Spotify Wrapped results revealed that 'Barracuda' was her most listened-to song of the year.
The band is also featured on her top artists list alongside Grande, Charli XCX, Justice, and Kacey Musgraves.
"This is the coolest song ever. And I feel like a rock star!” Roan said about performing the song at last year's Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Roan made the comment during an appearance on Ann's podcast, 'After Dinner Thinks', in May.
"I think you have the best voice in rock," she told the lead vocalist.
Road has two more shows in New York before heading to Kansas City and Los Angeles.
