The 'Pink Pony Club' singer says meaningful change in the music industry requires accountability following her decision to leave Wasserman Agency.
Singer Chappell Roan has dropped her talent agency, Wasserman, following reports that the company's CEO and founder has ties to Jeffrey Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell.
Flirtatious emails Casey Wasserman sent to Maxwell in 2003 were among scores of videos, images and documents published by the US Department of Justice on January 30.
The documents were made public in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
Convicted sex offender Epstein died in 2019 after taking his own life. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of helping Epstein sexually abuse girls.
"I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell, which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light," Casey said in a statement.
He denied having any personal or business relationship with Epstein.

In a statement shared on her Instagram Story, Roan explains why she has decided to leave the Wasserman Agency.
"As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman," she wrote on Monday.
"I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values."
The 27-year-old adds that he decision reflects her belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust.
"I have deep respect and appreciation for the agents and staff who work tirelessly for their artists, and I refuse to passively stand by. Artists deserve representation that aligns with their values and supports their safety and dignity."
Other artists, including Wednesday and Beach Bunny, are calling for Casey to step down.
The Wasserman Agency represents several top entertainers, sports stars, creators and musicians, including Coldplay and Ed Sheeran.
