Demi Lovato working on dance-pop album

Producer Zhone says he had "so much fun making" Demi Lovato's new music.

Demi Lovato is returning to her popstar roots. The former Disney star is working on her ninth studio album.
According to Rolling Stone magazine, her next project will be a “celebratory dance-pop album”.
The 32-year-old's last few albums were heavily influenced by hard rock and punk-rock music. Zhone is executive producing the project.
He has worked with stars such as Kesha, Charli XCX, Kylie Minogue and Troye Sivan.
“She is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout," Zhone told Rolling Stone.
Lovato's upcoming album does not have a title or release date, but she has already been teasing the project.
She shared pictures of herself working in the studio with Zhone. She captioned the post with headphone emojis.
Lovato has also been sharing snippets of her new single, 'Fast', on social media.
"I'm not sure I've ever felt like this before/ I can't deny, it feels so right," she sings in one clip.
The 'Heart Attack' singer's fans say they are going to miss her rock era, but can't wait to listen to what she has been working on.
"Dance Demi [is] back," one social media user commented. Another user wrote, "We're so ready."
Lovato also confirmed her pop comeback on TikTok. "My pop music coming back to life after we had a funeral for it," she joked.
A source tells Rolling Stone her new album reflects her new attitude on life.
“Over the past few years, Demi has found love, joy, and newfound confidence, making the choice to approach life with much more lightness and fun. She took this sentiment into the studio, which can be felt in every track," the source said.
She recently married Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes in a magical wedding ceremony.
"I got to marry the man of my dreams who just so happens to be my best friend and soulmate," she wrote.
Will her new hubby make an appearance on her upcoming album? Fans will just have to wait and see what the former Disney star has up her sleeve.
