'Frankenstein' star Mia Goth says she will lie to get a job

Don't try this at home, folks, but Mia Goth says she will "lie about pretty much anything" to get a job she wants.

British actress Mia Goth has made a surprise admission about her acting career.

While many people apply for jobs based on whether their skills match the job, the 32-year-old is not afraid to lie if she doesn't meet all the requirements.

"I will lie about pretty much anything if it means I’m going to get a job that I want. If you need me to horseback ride, speak Chinese, and tap-dance—funnily enough, those are lifelong passions of mine," she told W magazine.

It might work in Hollywood, but lying on your CV in the corporate world can get you fired, and in some cases, you might even face criminal charges.

Goth won't have to lie to get her next acting gig, because her performance in  Guillermo del Toro's 'Frankenstein' has earned her critical praise, and the offers will likely be rolling in.

She plays Lady Elizabeth Harlander in the Netflix film, which has been nominated for five Golden Globes. Oscar Isaac, who stars as Victor Frankenstein, is up for 'Best Actor'.

Their co-star, 'Euphoria' star Jacob Elordi, is a nominee in the 'Best Supporting Actor' category for his portrayal of the Creature. He also won a Critics Choice Award in January.

Felix Kammerer appears in the film as William Frankenstein.

Goth says watching her daughter, Isabel, interact with Elordi while dressed up as the Creater helped her prepare for a crucial scene in the film.

She shares Isabel with her husband, actor Shia LaBeouf. "He [Elordi] walked past, and my daughter ran up to him. She wasn’t scared at all, just curious," she told the publication.

"What struck me was how intrigued she was by him. There was no fear. That interaction ended up informing, a little bit, my approach to Elizabeth and how she meets the Creature.”
