Gert-Johan Coetzee design wows at Coachella
One of South Africa’s top designers Gert-Johan Coetzee is no stranger to A-list celebs.
Way back in 2011 Kourtney Kardashian wore one of his dresses to the People's Choice awards - rocking the red carpet.
And now reality TV star Laura Govan stepped out in a sexy Gert-Johan Coetzee dress at the world famous Coachella festival.
The 37-year-old mother of four looked smoking hot in the golden dress and seemed to like it so much that she took to social media to share pictures of her wearing it.
Gert-Johan says he is always delighted when his creations hit the headlines, especially internationally, and that it is a huge honour if internationally renowned celebs become fans of his work.
"I am very grateful that the international market is recognising South African fashion! Every time that I see one of my creations in the tabloids it inspires me, as it confirms that I am moving in the right direction," he told Jacaranda FM News.
Gert-Johan's designs are on show at all major fashion events and red carpet functions like the State of the Nation Address, the South African Music Awards as well as nearly any function attended by media personality Bonang Matheba.
"A solid design starts with quality and fit! It does not matter how brilliant the concept is, if the quality, fit and craftsmanship is not perfect it will compromise the whole story that you are trying to tell," he says.
