The first song from Harry Styles' long-awaited fourth studio album, 'Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally', is finally here.

'Aperture' debuted on all streaming platforms at midnight UK time on Friday, January 23.

"It's best you know what you don't/ Aperture lets the light in/ It's best you know what you don't/ Aperture lets the light in," he sings in the pre-chorus.

The song is different from what fans are used to from the 31-year-old, with one describing it as "unique, vintage, electric".

"The first notes really surprised me — I kept waiting to see where it would go. The drums pulled me in so deeply, and then his voice came in and it was like, ohhh, there you are, Harry," a YouTuber commented.

"It felt so good to finally hear you again after a long time. This song feels like a welcome and an invitation to what’s coming next. I love how Harry always surprises us — every album is different, just like people naturally grow and change."

Speaking to BBC Radio 1's Greg James ahead of the song's release, Styles says 'Aperture' was the last song recorded for his new album.

"We had most of the album done, and a lot of it was kind of exploring a lot of the themes that I think the song is exploring," he said.

"And then, I think getting this song at the end, it was kind of when we were feeling like our freest and just really having a lot of fun at that point, and it kind of felt like the mission statement of what the album was about."

Styles adds that 'Aperture' made him feel like the album was finished.

"So, it’s always been like a real celebration song for me... It’s a song that means a lot to me. So very excited to be putting that out first, and it be the first thing that people hear."

Styles has also announced a surprise world tour. The 'Together, Together Tour' will begin in Amsterdam in May.

The former One Direction singer will also make stops in London, São Paulo, Melbourne and Sydney.

The tour will also include a 30-night residency at New York's Madison Square Garden, which starts in August.

'Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally', will be released on March 6.
