Kim Kardashian reacts to North West's fake face tattoo backlash
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
The reality star's parenting skills have come under scrutiny lately, but she is brushing off the hate.
Kim Kardashian is defending her daughter, North West, from online criticism.
The 12-year-old made headlines recently after she was pictured wearing fake face tattoos and a faux septum piercing.
She shared the "edgy" look on the TikTok account she shares with her famous mom. The tween, who was going to a concert with her friends, completed the look with blue contact lenses to match her braids.
Many social media users felt the look was unsuitable for someone so young.
"Letting your child get around like this at 12... When she is of age, no problem. No wonder a lot of the kids of famous people turn out so messed up. Blame the parents," an X user wrote.
Another user said: "Kanye needs to take custody of these kids."
Kardashian shares four children with ex-husband, Kanye West, including Saint, Chicago and Psalm. North is their eldest child.
'The Kardashians' reality star seems unfazed by all the drama surrounding her look. She responded to a post about it on one of the Daily Mail's TikTok accounts.
"This is such a non-issue," she commented from their joint TikTok page, which received over 100,000 likes.
Some people joked that it was not Kardashian responding but North herself.
Many others defended Kardashian and North: "She's a kid playing dress up [with] her friends... where is the problem?"

It's not the first time Kardashian's parenting skills have come under fire.
Social media users slammed the SKIMS founder for allowing North to wear a strapless corset-like top during a recent trip to Italy.
Others pointed out that she also had a fake dermal finger piercing. "Bad parenting. Period," one person said.
Kardashian and her ex-husband have previously clashed over North's use of TikTok.
“Hey, everybody, I just got off the phone with Kim, and I told her to stop antagonising me with this TikTok thing,” West said in a 2022 video.
"I said, ‘Never again.’ I am her father. I know y’all don’t respect fathers and the idea of family, and the media tries to promote something. I said, ‘I am not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok.'”
During a recent appearance on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, Kardashian shared why she allows North to express herself through fashion, makeup, and music.
“She does listen to me, but in other areas, I'm like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is'. It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her," she said.
Unfortunately, North has seen some of the mean comments people say about her. However, Kardashian says she brushes off the hate.
“She'll be like, 'Mom, I saw this and I don't really care if someone says they don't like my blue hair, or my this or that.’ And she's really confident and is like, ‘I probably wouldn't be hanging out with those people.’”
Kardashian asked for some grace from people, adding that North is "such a good girl and such a sweet girl".
"I just think anyone that’s raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I’m doing the best that I can."
