Kim Kardashian sues Ray J over "false and serious" claims
Updated | By Entertainment Reporter
The Kardashians have had enough of Ray J's scandalous accusations against the family.
Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, are suing her ex-boyfriend, Ray J, for defamation.
They have filed a defamation lawsuit against the singer, saying he left them "no choice" after making disturbing comments about them.
Ray J, who is the younger brother of R&B star Brandy, recently claimed that he is helping federal officials build a RICO case against the mother-daughter duo that is "worse than Diddy".
“The federal RICO I’m about to drop on Kris and Kim is about to be crazy. I’m talking about, I’m on the news every day," he said in a livestream with rapper Chrisean Rock on September 24.
"I’m gonna say a lot of s**t. Anybody that know Kim and cool with Kim, they need to tell her now... the feds is coming. There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s worse than Diddy.”

Ray J dated Kardashian in the early 2000s - long before she married her ex-husband Kanye West. A sex tape they recorded leaked online, catapulting the SKIMS founder into the spotlight.
Ray J later claimed that they were behind the 'leaked', adding that Jenner even helped them decide which footage to use.
The tape was released in 2007, but had been made years earlier. 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians', the family's reality show, debuted on E! Network several months later.
Ray J described the narrative around the sex tape as the "biggest lie in the industry in the history of entertainment".
He claimed that it was his idea to release the tape after seeing how Paris Hilton's sextape helped make her a worldwide name.
"Once I pitched the idea to her, just playing around a little bit, that's when she jumped on the idea, talked to her mom and it was out of my hands from there," the 'One Wish' singer told the Daily Mail in 2022.
"I've never leaked anything. I have never leaked a sex tape in my life. It has never been a leak. It's always been a deal and a partnership between Kris Jenner and Kim and me and we've always been partners since the beginning of this thing."

The Kardashians have remained silent throughout Ray J's claims, but it seems they have finally had enough.
"Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian have never brought a defamation claim before nor have they been distracted by noise - but this false and serious allegation left no choice,” attorney Alex Spiro told People magazine.
Spiro slammed Ray J's remarks in the livestream as the "most malicious defamatory conduct".
Another incident cited in the lawsuit is Ray J's appearance on TMZ's Tubi documentary, 'United States V. Sean Combs: Inside the Diddy Trial'.
In the documentary, which aired earlier this year, Ray J defended the disgraced rapper, saying the charges against him didn't make sense.
"If you told me the Kardashians was being charged for racketeering, I might believe it,” he said.
This is going to be an interesting lawsuit. Time to microwave a bag of popcorn.
