Mariah Carey says it's NOT time yet but...
The 'Queen of Christmas' has started defrosting, but it's not time just yet.
The countdown to Christmas doesn't start until Mariah Carey officially declares, "It's time".
Despite what your local grocery store might suggest, the herald angels do not sing.
Carey took to Instagram to remind people that now is NOT the time to whip out your festive season decorations and start playing Christmas songs.
She shared a video of someone knocking on her door. She politely informs them: "Not yet." The cameraman continues to hound her in various locations. "I said not yet!"
It has become an annual tradition for the Queen of Christmas to sing "It's time" on November 1st, one day after Halloween, and completely disregarding Thanksgiving.
Basically, it's not time yet, but it is almost time.
Once Carey defrosts, it's safe for malls across the world and just about every radio station to start blasting her 1994 classic, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.
The song has claimed the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in December every year since 2019. It has spent over 15 non-consecutive weeks at the top of the chart.

'All I Want For Christmas Is You' was released 31 years ago on October 29.
The song, which Carey co-wrote with Walter Afanasieff, featured on her 'Merry Christmas' album. She wrote the song in around 15 minutes.
"I was working on it by myself on this little CASIO keyboard and writing down words, thinking about what do I think of at Christmas, what do I love, what do I want, what do I dream of, and that's what started it," Carey told ABC News in 2023.
The 56-year-old added that she truly enjoys Christmas and wanted to create something timeless.
'All I Want For Christmas Is You' has reportedly earned the songbird over $72 million (R1,2 billion).
The singer revealed that she hopes her children, Roc and Roe, whom she shares with Nick Cannon, follow in her footsteps.
"I hope so in some ways. I don't want to say they're my friends, because then they're like, 'Urgh, my mom's corny,'" she joked.
Whether they do or not, Carey and her family will certainly have a holly, jolly Christmas thanks to the greatest holiday song of all time.
