Meet your brand new Miss South Africa 2025

Miss South Africa 2025 was crowned on Saturday, 25 October 2025. Look at the special crowning moment below.
On 10 August 2024, the judging panel, which included former Miss South Africa Jo-Ann Strauss, actress Leandie du Randt, Miss World Rolene Strauss, radio personality Lerato Kganyago, and actress Thembi Seete, came together at the SunBet Arena, Time Square, to judge the final Top 10 Miss South Africa 2024 finalists.

The host, media mogul and businesswoman Bonang Matheba, crowned Mia le Roux as the brand-new Miss South Africa 2024.
Mia le Roux (28) was born in Sasolburg, Free State, and raised in Oudtshoorn, Western Cape. She was diagnosed with profound hearing loss at the age of one and says her community rallied behind her to give her the gift of hearing, inspiring her desire to make a positive impact and break barriers.

However, after Mia le Roux was crowned Miss South Africa, the organisation faced several challenges.
Earlier this year, Werner Wessels, the creative director, left the organisation.
This was not the only Miss SA story that stirred controversy among fan pages and pageant critics.

In May, the pageant organisers announced that they had not renewed their licence to participate in the Miss Supranational pageant.
In July, the Miss South Africa Organisation announced that its CEO, Stephanie Weil, had stepped down.

After months of rumours, uncertainty, and speculation, the organisation finally revealed the top 9 finalists competing for the crown in October.
On Saturday, 25 October, Qhawekazi Mazaleni, was crowned Miss South Africa 2025.
From Gonubie, East London, (now living in Randburg) holds a Speech, Language and Hearing Therapy degree from Stellenbosch University and is doing a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology through the University of Pretoria with a focus on Autism. Making a difference in her community is important, and her biggest contribution has been through her therapeutic work in "bridging cultural and linguistic gaps in speech therapy and being informed of our political, economic and social worlds. Her Motto: It's only embarrassing if you're embarrassed. Don't be afraid to be seen trying.
The judging panel included former Miss South Africa & Miss Universe Runner-Up Dr Tamaryn Green, journalist Heidi Gioko, actress Cindy Mahlangu, former Miss South Africa Ndavi Nokeri, and brand strategist Thebe Ikalafeng.
