Megan Thee Stallion: "Act III is gonna be one of my favourite projects ever'
Megan Thee Stallion has opened up about her highly anticipated new project, 'Act III', revealing that the album will reintroduce her alter ego Tina Snow and feature collaborations that she says will surprise fans.
Megan Thee Stallion is one of the biggest artists in the world. The artist, actor, philanthropist and entrepreneur has been working hard on her latest project, Megan Act III.
In an interview on the IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson podcast, the rapper spoke about what fans can expect from the upcoming album.
When asked about 'Act III', the rapper said she is still working on the title.
The 'Savage' hitmaker says her latest project will give her fans a new experience as she brings her alter ego, Tina Snow, back into the spotlight.
"I think it's gonna be a new experience for them. I think I'm just reintroducing my alter ego, Tina Snow," she says.
"I’m a persona that I feel like everybody has been acting like, ‘I want Tina Snow back'. I don't think she ever just actually left, but I think giving her a proper rollout, a proper title, a reintroduction to hotties that may not have been with me since 2017, 2018," she says.
Megan, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, also reflected on how much she has changed over the last few years and how those experiences have influenced the new music.
"Like Tina is grown now, babe. She's been through a lot of life since y'all heard from her last," she reveals.
One of the most exciting elements of the album is the number of collaborations, which Megan says includes several features that fans have been asking for, as well as some unexpected collaborations.
"I have so many collaborations that I feel like the hotties have been asking me for, like from niche collaborations... just like personal interest amongst me and the hotties. Collaborations that's overdue. Collaborations that will shock the people, like really gag the lives," she adds.
Megan also believes 'Act III' could become one of her favourite projects yet.
"I just feel like Act III is going to be one of my favourite projects I've ever put out."
She explained that the project feels particularly special because of the amount of time and attention she has dedicated to it.
According to Megan, there was a period when she was extremely busy trying to record music. However, she approached 'Act III' differently and deliberately created space to focus on completing the album.
"For Act III, I went home, and I was like, 'Nobody bother me. I got to finish my album'."
The rapper said the album was organised and completed while she was in one of the calmest states she has experienced while making music.
For now, fans will have to wait for an official release date for 'Act III', as it has not yet been confirmed.
