Miranda Kerr has shared the strict screen time rule her billionaire husband Evan Spiegel insists on for their children.

The Australian model has three children with Spiegel: Myles, Hart, and Pierre. She also has a 14-year-old son, Flynn, with her former partner, Orlando Bloom, who starred in 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.

Kerr says her Snapchat CEO husband is not a fan of screen time.

"My husband is very anti-screens for the young ones, because that's the way he was raised," she said on 'The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show' podcast.

However, the family has not completely cut their children off from screen time.

“We've been together 11 years, and I’ve said to him, ‘Look, something that feels good to me is just maybe on the weekend or a special occasion, curling up with the kids, the 6 and 7-year-old and the teenager if he wants to join in, and snuggling up and watching a movie.' And he's like, ‘OK, but not every weekend.’”

The Kora Organics founder tells cohosts Michael and Lauryn Bosstick that her teenage son has had his own phone since he was 13 and a half, but it has parental controls.

"And on top of that, he doesn't have social media, which we think is important, but he does have Snapchat, which is the only way that he communicates with his friends. They don't really text, they just Snap each other all day long."

Spiegel has also previously revealed that he encourages Flynn to exercise "critical thinking skills" when he is online.

Kerr also shares some of her other parenting tips. She says her grandmother taught her the importance of having a routine for children.

"We have routines at home that the boys just rely on, and they feel safe knowing that they have that consistency. They know that 4:30 pm. every day is dinner time."

The model says she likes to have early dinners so that she doesn't have to rush them for bath time or bedtime

"You know what it's like, kids move at their own speed. And I want to sit down and have a beautiful meal together, and try to talk about their day, what happened. What is your rose, what is your thorn, what is your bud?"

Her kids also have an early bedtime, 6:30 - 7 pm in the winter and 7:30 pm in the summer.
