Local beauty queen Natasha Joubert has shared what could be the sweetest date idea for married couples expecting their first child together.

Joubert and her husband, Enrico Vermaak, are just weeks away from welcoming their baby girl. To celebrate her impending arrival, the couple decided to visit the place where they made their union official.

"We went to revisit our wedding venue @cavalliestate to celebrate her and also reminisced over our wedding by booking a picnic at Cavalli on the lawn where our reception took place. (Men, date idea)," she wrote.

"This brought back so many memories."

The Miss South Africa 2023 winner and her IT specialist husband tied the knot at the Cavalli Estate in the Cape Winelands in March 2025.

Joubert reveals that a tree planted at the venue shortly before their wedding is now a symbol of their growing love.

"Quick back story, a few months before our wedding, this tree was planted where our reception was taking place. I remember panicking as the guests we had would barely fit onto the lawn. At our wedding, this tree was one of our favourite features - we now say it represents our love, it was planted and will grow just like our marriage."

The couple plans to return with their daughter one day to show her "one of the most special places to us".

Natasha Joubert Baby

Joubert announced her pregnancy in October 2025.

"The last 5 months... we've been keeping the sweetest secret," she wrote on Instagram.   The fashion entrepreneur also thanked her family and friends for keeping the news private.

"To my people who have known and kept a secret with me, bless you and thank you for respecting Enrico and I. We've wanted to ensure everything is healthy...  before making it public."

They shared the baby's gender a few weeks later. Joubert and Vermaak have been hard at work getting their home ready for the new addition to the family.

In January, she revealed that a damp issue in their home put the brakes on their nursery plans.

"A little spanner in the works, we have to sort out a damp issue in our house, paint out the house and replace skirtings. So for now we have a temporary nursery for incase this little girl decides to make an appearance. I still have about 8 weeks to go. So we took our dresser out of our room, washed her newborn clothing and set up her co-sleeper."

"The last few weeks just showed me how important your village is, the people who want to help and be involved in her life. But her nursery is going to be so special... even though she'll be right next to my bed for the first 6 months."
