Princess Catherine completes 37km hike for cancer charity

The Princess of Wales finished the National Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours, and most hikers didn't even recognise her.
Princess Catherine is receiving praise from people all over the world after completing a tough hiking and endurance challenge to raise cancer awareness.
Catherine, who opened up about her own cancer scare in 2024, completed the National Three Peaks Challenge solo.
She completed the 23-mile (37-kilometre) trek in 24 hours.
Pictures and videos show the princess tackling the gruelling challenge as she passes several people who barely even give her a second look.
I love the fact people didn't recognise her, she got out of the way of those descending, which is the right etiquette, she didn't have an army of obvious guards with her, she carried her own pack and didn't make it obvious.

Some walkers did notice the royal, and she gladly chatted to them in the cold.
"I love the fact people didn't recognise her, she got out of the way of those descending, which is the right etiquette," one person remarked on X.
"She didn't have an army of obvious guards with her. She carried her own pack and didn't make it obvious. Princess Catherine is in a class all by herself."

In a picture shared on the official Instagram page that she shares with her husband, Prince William, Catherine is seen smiling proudly at the summit of Ben Nevis in Scotland.
"Every year, hundreds of thousands of people in this country hear the words no one wants to hear," the royal wrote.
"What follows is a path that tests every part of who we are: physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually.
"The challenges ripple outwards, touching families, friendships, work and the quiet moments we spend alone with our thoughts."
The 44-year-old also explains why she decided to participate in the endurance challenge, which takes place across mountains in Scotland, England and Wales.
"I have taken on the National Three Peaks Challenge, not simply as a physical endeavour but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back," she said.
The challenge will support the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which Catherine says will help enhance recovery and healing for patients across the UK.
"The Royal Marsden is a place that holds great meaning for me and whose care and expertise are life-changing for so many people."
The princess continued: "Healing, whether personal or collective, is not just about fixing what is wrong. It is about finding balance in how we live."
"Bravery isn't just about pushing forward. It is about knowing how to stay grounded, connected and present, no matter the terrain or landscape you are walking," Catherine concluded.
Social media users applauded Catherine for her bravery. Here's a look at what some of them had to say.
"Iconic Warrior Princess. Such an inspiring role model."
"You are amazing, Princess Catherine."
"Catherine, you truly are an inspiration."
"Much kudos to you for sharing your journey and using your position to help create positive change."
"Profoundly touching, thoughtful and most of all, impactful message."
Princess Catherine will certainly make a fantastic future queen.
