Search for Savannah Guthrie's mother could take 'months or years'

It's been over two weeks since the TV anchor's mother was kidnapped from her home.
'Today' show co-host Savannah Guthrie is not giving up hope that her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, will be returned home.
Nancy was kidnapped from her home in Arizona, America, on January 31 and has not been heard from since. The alleged kidnapper has sent ransom notes to news publications such as TMZ.
There have been several developments in the case, including DNA recorded from the scene and an arrest. However, the person taken into custody was released shortly after.
Another man was arrested for sending a fake ransom demand to Savannah's sister, Annie Guthrie.
Speaking to The New York Times, Arizona Sheriff Chris Nanos says around 400 people are working to find Nancy. He is confident they will be successful, regardless of how long it takes.
"Maybe it’s an hour from now. Maybe it’s weeks or months or years from now. But we won’t quit. We’re going to find Nancy. We’re going to find this guy."
Police have also ruled out that the elderly woman was the victim of a robbery gone wrong, noting that no valuables appear to have been taken.
Savannah has also shared a new video on social media, urging the kidnapper to do the right thing.
"We still have hope, and we still believe. To whoever has her or knows where she is, 'It's never too late, and you're not lost or alone. It is never too late to do the right thing.'
"We believe in the essential goodness of every human being." The Guthrie family is also concerned about Nancy's health.
"She is 84 years old. Her health, her heart, is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She is without any medicine. She needs it to survive. She needs it not to suffer," Savannah said in a previous video.
