South Africans react to possible BTS concert

Big Concerts dangled a carrot in front of them, and South African BTS fans are ready to bite, no matter the cost.

BTS fans hope South Africa will be one of the K-pop group's stops on their upcoming tour.

This is after Big Concerts teased a possible live show on its official social media pages.

"Mzanzi ARMY, what do you think? Should BTS light up South Africa with a live show?" the post read.

The post was immediately flooded with comments from BTS fans.

"HAIBOOO make it happen please!' one person wrote. Another fan said: "Is this real? Let me start saving."

A third added: "This is not a want, it's a NEED!" Some even joked that they are willing to do whatever it takes to get their hands on tickets.

"Gotta start scoping out what we don't need in the house anymore," one person said.

"I’m selling a kidney," another person wrote.

Some suggested that there be multiple concerts.

"Is that even a question, like seriously, with the amount of ARMY in South Africa, you need at least four shows..."

"BTS were the first K-pop group to 'pave the way', taking Korean pop music to the international stage and reaching fans far and wide," reports Time Out Cape Town

BTS 2026 Tour

It's unclear if the potential concert will take place during the South Korean band's 2026 tour or before.

In July, BTS announced plans for a comeback tour after completing their military service

SUGA was the last of the seven-member group to finish his military duty. He was released in June.

They are gearing up for their biggest tour yet. BTS will release a new album next year to coincide with their tour.

"We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are," the 'Butter' hitmakers said.

The last time we checked, South Africa was most definitely on the world map. So?

BTS last went on a major tour in 2022 for the 'Permission to Dance on Stage' concert series.

Hopefully, South Africa will make the cut this time around.
