Taylor Swift's viral cookie recipe resurfaces amid court drama
When Taylor Swift shared her famous cookie recipe in 2014, we doubt she expected it to become key evidence in a Hollywood courtroom battle.
Taylor Swift's chai sugar cookie recipe is back in the spotlight, and not just because fans are raving about how good it is.
The singer's (former) best friend, actress Blake Lively, has reportedly entered a link to the recipe as an exhibit in her high-profile legal battle against Wayfarer Studios.
Lawyers for the production asked the judge handling the case to grant them more time to review the 'It Ends With Us' star's 68 new exhibits, which also include photos of her and Swift.
Lively's lawyers clapped back, saying that the recipe was part of the evidence of an alleged smear campaign against her.
The 38-year-old sued the studio, along with several other parties, including director Justin Baldoni, in 2024.
She filed 13 claims against the defendants, including sexual harassment and defamation.
Earlier this month, Judge Lewis Liman dismissed all but three of the claims: breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding/abetting retaliation.
Lively and Swift's relationship has allegedly suffered as a result of the case. Private messages between the pair were laid bare in court, and the pop star's name was mentioned several times in other communications.
One text exchange shows Lively referring to herself as Khaleesi from 'Game of Thrones', and referring to Swift and her husband Ryan Reynolds as her "dragons".
Some reports claim Lively and Swift "aren't speaking" anymore.
Neither star has confirmed the current status of their friendship, but they have not been seen together publicly in months.

Swift is unlikely to be pleased that her name is being brought up in headlines again, especially over a cookie recipe.
Social media users, on the other hand, are excited that the case has reminded them of the recipe, which has been described as buttery, cosy, and delicious.
The 'Look What You Made Me Do' hitmaker shared a cookie recipe on her Tumblr account in 2014. It is her version of a 2009 recipe shared by Joy Wilson from Joy the Baker.
Here are all the ingredients you will need to make them:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups flower
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 chai tea bag
