Taylor Swift's 'Opalite' is the next single from her album, 'The Life of a Showgirl', to get a music video.

The singer uploaded a countdown to the premiere of the 'Opalite' video on her website. The music video will debut on Spotify and Apple Music on Friday, February 6.

It will then be released on YouTube on Sunday, February 8. 'Opalite' has been charting on the Billboard Hot 100 ever since Swift released her 12th studio album in October.

It peaked at #2 on the chart and currently sits at #10. Swift's fiancé, Travis Kelce, has a special connection to the track. His birthstone is an opal, and the single is reportedly a love song to the American football star.

'Opalite' is also a peek inside Swift's road to finding love after several heartbreaks.

"I had a bad habit/ Of missing lovers past/ My brother used to call it/ 'Eating out of the trash'/ It's never gonna last," she confesses in the opening lyrics.

The 36-year-old sings in another part of the song, "But my Mama told me/ It's alright/ You were dancing through the lightning strikes/ Sleepless in the onyx night/ But now the sky is opalite."

Swift explained the meaning behind 'Opalite' during an interview on Hits Radio last year.

“When we go through something that doesn't work out... we oftentimes look at it as this major setback, like we've taken a step back, but actually I’ve found that so many of those instances in my life, based on how you respond to it, can catapult you forward in growth, in wisdom, in perspective."

The single is also about forgiveness.

"'Opalite' is a song about kind of forgiving yourself for having gone through something that didn't pan out the way you wanted it to... It's giving yourself permission to not have it all figured out or not marry the first person you ever dated."

Kelce has previously stated that 'Opalite' is his favourite song on 'The Life of a Showgirl'.

Several songs on the album feature lyrics dedicated to the athlete, including 'The Fate of Ophelia', which is currently the No.1 song on the Top 40 with Danny Painter
