Taylor Swift pens poem for latest 'Life of a Showgirl' variant
A showgirl knows to save some of her best tricks for the grand finale…
Just eight days before Taylor Swift debuts her new album, 'The Life of a Showgirl', she's marking the countdown with a few surprises.
The album, which will be released on October 3, will be available in several CD and vinyl variants.
Swift shared a picture of the latest vinyl variant, 'The Crowd is Your King', on social media. It is available on summertime spritz pink shimmer vinyl.
"A showgirl knows to save some of her best tricks for the grand finale," she wrote.
'The Crowd is Your King' version will be sold exclusively at Target. Swift has included a unique poem and poster for this cover variant.
It's unclear if the singer will release more variants before her album drops. Each variant has its own cover and visual art.
Swift explained why she decided to release so many variants in a promo video shared this month.
"The photo shoot that we did with Mert [Atlas] and Marcus [Piggott] was so extraordinary and I was so happy with it that I just wanted the fans to have as many images from this sort of world, this album era, as possible,” she said.
"I really spent a lot of time figuring out how I could make the best vinyl product and the best packaging and the best CD experience that they could have.”

'The Life of a Showgirl' features 12 tracks, including a song with Sabrina Carpenter.
Swift is planning release parties at cinemas worldwide from October 3 - 5. At these parties, Swifties will be able to watch the album's first music video on the big screen.
"I hereby invite you to a *dazzling* soirée, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl," she said.
"You’ll get to see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for my new single 'The Fate of Ophelia', along with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut-by-cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album."

South African fans can book via Ster-Kinekor and Nu-Metro.
