Tyla adds extra show for her Pretoria fans
One show was clearly not enough! Tyla has answered the fans and added a second Pretoria date to her 'A Pop World Tour'.
Tyla is giving her local fans even more of what they want!
The South African superstar has added a second show to her A Pop World Tour in Pretoria after fans called for more.
Tyla, who hails from Gauteng, shot to global fame with her hit song 'Water'.
The Grammy Award-winning singer was initially scheduled to perform in Cape Town on 4 January and at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg on 9 January.
But this week, promoters Showtime Management and Anything Goes announced that Tyla moved her Johannesburg show to Pretoria at the at SunBet Arena. The show will take place on 8 and 9 January 2027.
According to Time Out Johannesburg, the venue change is partly down to possible Highveld thunderstorms, and fans have also been asking for a seated option.
Tickets for the show start at R895 and can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
This is not the first time Tyla will be performing for fans in the city. Last year, she performed to a sold-out crowd, and judging by the demand for her upcoming shows, fans can expect another packed venue.
Tyla started the A*Pop World Tour in October. She has already performed in several destinations around the world, including France, the UK, Belgium, Germany, Sweden and the United States, with shows in cities such as Chicago, Washington, New York and Las Vegas.
The 'Push 2 Start' star has had an incredible year, including making her debut at the SAMAs, where she received the Afro-Pure International Achievement Award for her contribution to South African music and her role in taking the country’s sound to audiences around the world.
She also recently turned heads at the 2026 VMAs, where she stepped onto the red carpet in a striking snakeskin-inspired outfit.
Now, her South African fans will get another chance to see the global star live on home soil.
