Val Kilmer ready to return as Iceman
Val Kilmer is ready to return as Tom Cruise's wingman.
Tom revealed this week that he is working on Top Gun 2, with production on the sequel to the cult classic due to start next year.
After the news broke Kilmer took to social media - posting a picture of himself in sunglasses saying: "I am ready".
No one is sure if Val will reprise his role of Iceman, but what we do know is that Maverick (Tom Cruise) will be back.
"Friends said it's official - #TOPGUN2 was announced today. I'm ready Tom - still got my Top Gun plaque! Still got the moves!" he posted.
While the idea of a Top Gun sequel has been batted around for years, it seemed to have taken shape in late 2015 when producer Jerry Bruckheimer met with Cruise.
Details about Top Gun 2 are still sketchy, but fans will be praying for a reunion between Maverick and Iceman.
