The 'Roar' pop star posted a video of herself trying to ride a motorised scooter at Burning Man Festival in Nevada over the weekend, but couldn't quite keep control of her ride.

Now her dad Keith Hudson has given her a personal tutorial, which the 30-year-old shared on Instagram.

In the clip, Keith, 68, is seen perfectly spinning around on his Segway, saying: "Hey bird, you need a lesson 'cause this is the way you do it."

Katy sarcastically captioned the video: "Thanks dad."

Evangelical Christian minister Keith previously doted on his daughter, saying he's "always a proud father".

But the star's dad wasn't too impressed in 2013 when he attended one of her concerts and saw Katy's fans "worshipping" her.

He told a church congregation: "I was at a concert of Katy's where there were 20,000. I'm watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church. I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They're loving and worshipping the wrong thing."

thanks dad 😑
