10 cash-in-transit suspects on the run
Police are searching for a gang involved in a cash-in-transit heist in Gauteng.
Gauteng police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini says 10 suspects are believed to have been involved in the crime.
He says they targeted the armoured vehicle at 09:00 today.
"Police are looking for a group of 10 men who attacked a cash-in-transit vehicle in Benoni."
Dlamini has confirmed an undisclosed amount of money was stolen - after the suspects blew up the safe using explosives.
