Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Nine suspects arrested in connection with the murder of a Tshwane University of Technology lecturer are appearing before the Soshanguve Magistrates' Court.
The matter was postponed last week for a formal bail application.
The TUT lecturer was assaulted and killed, allegedly by a mob in Soshanguve last month, in a suspected vigilante attack.
It’s alleged that the group forced the man out of his home onto the streets, where they unleashed the attack, after he was raping two children.
A video of a motionless body, purportedly that of the deceased lecturer, lying in the middle of the road, was shared on social media.
The three women and six men, are facing charges of murder.
