90-year-old woman stabbed to death

“It is understood that the woman’s daughter came across her body in the apartment and called emergency services. Paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene shortly before 7pm where they found the woman lying on the ground,” ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said.

Upon assessment, they found that she had sustained multiple stab wounds over her body. There was nothing paramedics could do for her and she was declared dead on the scene. The police were alerted to the incident and arrived while paramedics were still on the scene. The incident was later handed over to the police to investigate, Vermaak said.
