Africa Day: Unity is key
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
As we celebrate Africa Day, Jacaranda FM's Silindelo Masikane spoke to foreign nationals who call South Africa their home.
The main theme through all the interviews is one of unity.
"Together we can achieve more as Africans," says Lizzy Kondowe, who is a South African-born Malawian.
The 28-year-old says she wouldn't trade her culture for anything, proudly stating: "I'm a Malawian-rooted girl in love with Africa!"
Jessica Ifama Okuke from Nigeria is an entrepreneur and owns a hair salon in Joburg. She says before she sees herself as African, rather than Nigerian.
