Airlink to launch Lanseria–Harare flights
Airlink will launch a new scheduled service between Lanseria International Airport and Harare, Zimbabwe on 15 November, marking its first route from Lanseria.
The airline says flights will operate three times a week using Embraer E190 aircraft, which accommodates 98 passengers with only window and aisle seats.
Chief Executive Officer De Villiers Engelbrecht says the move will better serve passengers in Lanseria’s catchment.
“Johannesburg-Harare is one of the busiest routes in Southern Africa and saw demand averaging around 60,000 seats a month in 2025. A significant percentage of this market comprises people within Lanseria's catchment area and Airlink is able to better serve these customers by augmenting our existing services out of OR Tambo International Airport.”
Airlink says the Johannesburg–Harare route remains one of Southern Africa’s busiest, with strong demand from business and leisure travellers.
